Registration & renewals

Follow these steps if your organization is a charitable organization that is required to register or have its registration renewed.

Registration

1. Fill out an application form

There is a one-year registration fee of $60, payable to the Government of Alberta.

2. Gather solicitation materials

All charitable organizations registering for the first time must submit copies of their solicitation materials and solicitation scripts that will be used to solicit donations.
These will be reviewed to make sure the information meets the Charitable Fund-raising Act’s disclosure requirements.

3. Submit the application

Submit your application form, solicitation materials and registration fee to:

What’s important to know

Registration takes effect the date it is issued. The department will send you a renewal notice, the appropriate forms and instructions before your registration expires.

Renewals

Registration renewals may use Service Alberta’s online registration system, PABLO (Province of Alberta Business Licensing Online).
