Burial Permits

A Burial Permit is required to bury, cremate or otherwise dispose of the body of a stillborn child.

A cemetery will not consent to a burial, nor a crematorium to a cremation, without the a Burial Permit.

Burial Permits are obtained by the funeral home taking care of the funeral arrangements. The funeral home obtains the Burial Permit from a hospital.

For more information regarding Burial Permits, contact the Vital Statistics office.
